I got this book for free as you may have read in my Weekend Haul thread, and I thought I'd share a couple funny quotes. Keep in mind that the book was published in early 1994!

First, this comes from a section of the book that describes the 50 New Features that Apple proclaimed it had added in System 7.5 (doesn't sound much different from the Jaguar ad campaign, eh?):

quote:

MacTCP

With System 7.5 Apple includes support for TCP/IP, the commmunications protocol used in UNIX networking, college and university networks, as well as in most research communities; it is also the standard protocol for the so-calledd information superhighway, the Internet communications network.

I'll add more as I find them!

Does it list BreakOut as one of its 50 New Features?

"They" haven't really tried it yet!

*thinks: my first impressions have been rather underwhelming to date . . . *
