I'm conversing with my Bible teacher at school about an SE that's lying on its side on a bookcase in his classroom; he says hes not sure if it boots or not but i may be able to bring it home and set it up beside the Performa 578... more info as I receive it

UPDATE: The computer doesnt belong to the teacher; it was in his classroom when he moved in at the beginning of the school year... but hes gonna talk it over with the tech dept. and they've been very friendly to my efforts to get some LC 580s (which didnt work out)
The haul will be: -Mac SE -1988-vintage ADB mouse (the square-ish one) -ADB keyboard cable -Power cable

YAY! Its home! I actually got more than previously thought i got: - SE FDHD - original ADB mouse (the boxy one) - power cable, ADB keyboard cable - ADB keyboard, off of a Power Mac (but it does its job nicely)
