an idea for a "68k Library" of sorts:
what if we created a stockpile of 68k Macs to use for propaganda/evangelism?
Example: providing a 68k to someone who is interested but has no experience with 68k's but has no way to get his/her hands on one
Could this be done? should this be done? i think we would be able to reach out to more people with no background in 68k's... but then again do we want people who aren't hardcore 68k people to be in the 68kmla? sorry this is kinda long but its late and im tired and can't really be concise i've edited it to death as well

Sorry to poo poo on your idea.
68k MLA is a club - not a religion.
I think that any one of us would donate a spare Mac to anyone who wants one, but I for one am not going to go too far out of my way to send Macs all over the world and "evangelise" people!

. . . and drive up prices!
I don't expect CPU prices to go up too badly for anything but the really esoteric collectables, but this is a unique point in Macintosh history to pick up a buttload of PROFESSIONAL LEVEL NuBus and PDS I/O interfaces and peripherals as the shift to X and PCI force holdouts in the media content creation biz to upgrade.
You can get MultiKiloBuck goodies like VideoVision Studio and HIGH END Video Cards by the metric @$$load for next to nothing (relatively speaking) right about now!
