Does anyone have a cheap ppc it doesn't really matter it's just for a canadian .68k server. I could get a 1GBhd eof oldmac martin for 20$ so it doesn't really matter, but if it did i'd b awsome!-danny

talk to cinemo, he's got a 7100/80 I think that'd do admiribly, I think it was $20 or summat. Thanks for wanting to host the mirror, methinks that a lot of the comerades can be very kind here. email me at ccrawford_at_sphs-web.lausd.k12.ca.us and we'll talk about mirroring :)but anyway, ask cinemo.

mirrors?!! I must have missed this topic, but i can mirror! I've got machines and hdd space to spare. My isp SUCKS, so i've never been to vocal about hosting something due to the lack of reliability. So, i can help out if you need it. AND PLEASE PUT YOUR SERVER ON THE TRACKER!!!_______________________

My isp is really reliable so it wouldn't be a problem but as for the server, it is down because I had to backup all the files and delete them due to lack of disk space.-danny

I'm not sure how this is going to set up yet... some might be mirrors, but I 'm thinking alot will just be distributed... and if we have proper backup systems, we won;t lose data.Also, if people can set up A/UX servers, this might get ALOT easier for me... just like setting up the Old internet pre-WWW... tunneled thru the current one... ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie

I wasn't thinking thinking mirror as much as another server, like at brinkster they have a www22, www24 and such for servers.-danny

I have a performa 6115CD. That's a 60 mhz 601 in a Q610 case. It doesn't have a HD, but it sounds like you have that under control. No CD either, but I could give you either an AppleCD 300i or 300i Plus. If you have a tray loading bezel for a Q800(for me), I'll give you the 300i. If not, you can have the 300i Plus, though I only have a slot loading bezel for the Performa, if you care. I want to get rid of this mac. You can just HAVE it, though I'd ask a couple bucks for the CD drive. I can clarify the CD situation if you need me to, but otherwise, this is the mac for you...{ candyPunk }

Thanks that means for the timebeing I can use the HD from my Q700 and set it up to work :), About the CD thing, I don't have a clue what you are talking about, most of my expertise is oin Q700 macs and imac G3+.-danny

Alright, here's the deal with the CD:Wait a minute. I just wrote a big paragraph explaining it, but then I realized that it didn't matter. See, there's an issue with which bezels I want to keep. But if this is just going to be a server, it doesn't matter if you have a CD bezel, does it? It's just for asthetic value. OK, I'll give you the 2x tray loader. I'll have to check the ram, but I'm pretty sure that there isn't any above and beyond that which is soldered onto the mobo, which I think is 8 megs. I'll check these things and get back to you { candyPunk }
