does anyone have specific advice on designing PCBs?

like, what dremel tools, etc.

My main reasons for this are:

1) I want to make a 2 port serial dongle for my Newt.
2) I want to make something rather interesting for where the Modem goes inside my Duo... like, a lighting system.
3) building some tools for Ethernet installations.
