Hey... I just realized that those National Instruments cards I have would probably work as iBorg peices!since they are programmable, and have multiple input and output channels, useing power off the ADB bus and such I wouldn;t have to buy an ADB I/O device! This could be interesting ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Admin of The WonderLAN ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

VERY interesting, you might as well leach power right off the PSU tho, there's not much juice to be had on ADB. You should be able to run a stepper driver card easily enough, how mahy channels do you have available per card?jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

From what I've read so far... I think I have 25 channels, if I use serial channels. (2 pins per channel on a 50 pin ribbon-type connection, one RCV, one XMT)And here's something else... since a mobo is 12V or 5V, I want to run this off battery.... like, a car battery. sure, the weight would require a bigger motor, but I can torque it down, or use tractor treds... I have a pair of RangeLAN2 Ethernet bridges... if I power one on the 68k o' Borg, connected to an ehternetnet card via crossover cable... and the other connects to my Network... then 68k O' Borg would be wwireless and controllable! ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Admin of The WonderLAN ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |
