Just wanted to report to everyone that my broken 2100 has now been replaced. I am a happy camper!

I was able to get a bare 2100 (no PC card slot inserts, no stylus, and no AC adapter) and use all my existing pieces. The case was in great shape (only an inventory sticker on the bottom) and a mint condition screen. The backlight is quite bright. It even came loaded with Avi's backdrop and PC card eject packages. Best part, it was from a local Mac store.

Happy, happy.

The sad thing about the dead Newt was that it was in absolutely pristine condition - screen protectors, Newt Suit case, the Apple nylon case... that thing was babied from new.

The major problem was no power from batteries or AC. A hard reset did nothing. I'm guessing a connection on the board (I'll open it up when I have time).

I am going to keep the Newt for the memories and as a spare parts machine just in case this new one has problems
