it had to happen. I get my beige G3 working correctly, and then my newton's screen seperates (in layman's terms, that means that the screen will no longer detect presses of the stylus). ho hum. as is with my life. I've learned to accept it with minor grumblings, keeping my genocidal urges at bay until I can let them out on an unsuspecting apple II risistor cluster card (made by me to be exploded by my funky "fry card in slot X" program)

and remember, if you try and install mac OS 10.2 on an early G3, you will go insane, and aquire a thirst for blood!

when i recieved my 2000 there was no screen input, i opened it up and somehow the ribbon cable had worked it's way out out of the plug. I put it back in and it works fine now. look into it.

Actually, the same thing happened with my MP120. There's a post in the Vintage Macs archiove about it, I think that it was called "Noooooooooooo!" or something.

I did open it up, hoping that it was just a loose cable but it wasn't.
