Aloha,Just got my hands on one of these drives, and I was wondering...what can I do it it ? I assume it can read old PC (XT ?) floppies...but which ones ? 360k or maybe 1.2M ? And can I connect this to my IIsi ? (maybe not directly, coz the drive has 37 (??) pin plug) Thanx in advance. The Godfather.
P.S 1) Why the hell this sucker is so heavy ? 2) Where can I get floppies ? 3) How much does it worth ? (Not selling, just asking) ------------------------------------------------ Quadra 630,Quadra 605, IIsi, Performa 400. Need I say more ? |

Unfortunately, you can only hook it up to an Apple II. Well, I think maybe the you can connect it to the Apple II emu card for the LC series...but there's supposedly some special/rare cable you need to do so.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

Hmmm... I have an Apple-branded card that's called an "Apple PC drive Interface"- it's NuBus, and was pulled from a Mac IIfx at a school sale a while back... maybe this is what you're looking for? I'd be happy to post more info, if you're interested. Later! :-) SpaceBoyAppleBASIC FOREVER! If you have a Mac SE, Shreve Systems has an interface for its PDS for that drive in their clearance sale too!jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |
