I've been thinking of forming a splinter group, the PPCFF. PowerPC Freedom Force. That way 68kMLA could continue its rich tradition without confusing the issues. Besides a PPC liberation army would have vastly different needs.

Happy Holidays everybody.

An idea...but don't PPCs have big enough guns to defend themselves?

No never because hmmm Apple still makes PowerPC processors G3 and G4 are just Generation 3 and 4 processors. So you wana liberate new computers? 68ks rock because they can do wouderful things for being 12 years old!!! These things rocks and a PowerPC liberation army would not work. Deliberation of PCs?? Excellent.

Ok...so I'll be more specific...

The PPC601FF.

Don't tell me that a 6100 can defend itself...those things have it rough...and the shame of it all is that they become rather potent if given an av card.

speaking of potency, Sonnet has a nifty new gadget for nubus Power Macs.

http://www.sonnettech.com/product/sonata_pro.html

"The Sonnet Sonata™ Pro 24 NuBus Video Card (by Village Tronic™) is a wonderful way to enhance your NuBus-based Power Macintosh® with higher video resolutions, more colors, and faster video processing speeds with a pixel rate of up to 200 MHz. Featuring 4MB of onboard VRAM, QuickTime®, and MPEG acceleration, the Sonata Pro 24 offers a tremendous improvement to the general video output capacity of your NuBus-based Power Mac™. It supports up to 24" monitors and delivers standard resolutions up to 1920x1080 in thousands of colors or 1152x870 in millions of colors (full 24-bit). The Sonata Pro 24 delivers performance, resolution and color depth that is comparable or superior to the Apple® PDS AV and high Performance Video (HPV) Cards."

(arg, why is this forum code randomly not working?)
