Too bad the thing is only 1x. Otherwise, it has just about everything going for it. Well, I suppose everything else is really just the design and the CD player functions, but those make it cool. Just needs to be faster.

Not for any of the many other things for which it was designed, I gladly gave up Data reading speed for versatility. It was my only CD until I bought a Quadra 630 with an internal for using at home and it was the only one in the shop until I got a CD/RW Burner that was my only other until very recently (2 years ago+-?).
With just a pair of powered speakers added to it, the PowerCD was my shop stereo for several years.
