 Format of the 8.1 image

Got the OS 8.1 image from one of the hotline servers but can't seem to determine its file type. It won't mount with diskcopy, it is not an hfv. Possibly a toast image? In that case I need to somehow burn it from a PC so I can load it.

Nevermind, found an alternate file.

Useless 6360 16/1.2/8.6 :(

hello.
Try to mount your disk image 8.1 with stuffit expander or drop disk.If this solution not work answer me.

Stuffit expander 5.5 ( 68K ) is efficient,it mount .img and .smi.Drop disk mount the old format compression.
And use stuffit 6 for a PPC.
Verify if your disk is not corrupted ( a bad download ) and to terminate decompress your download in a spécial folder ( level 1,2,3 etc...).Perhaps your desk is damaged.
