Does anyone know why a Mac Classic I acquired wouldn't have an internal HD icon? It boots fine using a floppy or the external HD I got with it, but it thinks there isn't an internal HD. I don't really want to crack the case. I've done it before and I don't want to do it again.

I'll let you get by just this once...

Otoh, not all pizzaboxes had issues...The LCIII, LCIII+ and LC47x series were great machines in their day, and still very useful workhorses today. Even the LC and LCII can fit into today's world for simple tasks such as word processing and email.

I know that the LC and LC II are the only pizzaboxes that had issues. Don't remember what was wrong with the LC, but i vividly recall the LC IIs 32bit 68030 processor sitting on top of a 16 bit bus (not to mention the 10mb RAM ceiling). Blech!

The LC III and 475 were quite lovely actually. I really want an LC III+...

But if you think about it, nearly every computer can be used for word processing and email.
