I have a video acquisition/in card for performa/powermac, anything witht that connecter. Now there is a slot on the card for a cable, and it has the same number of pins as the small board that is in 68k performa 6xx series. Could I hook these up? and if so, what would it do?

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

if you're saying what i think you're saying, it will make TV tuner to work and you can use it as a video capture source... I think.

That link appears to be dead, find the new one on gamba.

The MPEG Media System requires the Video-In System, LC III PDS and one other funky slot, but not a TV or FM/TV tuner, IIRC.

jt, the funky slot you're talking about is for MPEG video. The cable sends the MPEG video to the Video System, so that it can be viewed in Apple Video Player. Just thought i should tell you.

I looked it up, I thought it had a second cable to the DAV slot or something because the manual says it requires a Mac with the LC PDS and a Video-In slot. But that was just a badly worded description of the regular Video-In card slot it seems.

It's confusing because the MPEG card is not copmpatible with the DOS compatible 630 revs which were the ones with the DAV slot, IIRC. Dunno, the installation instructions only show the one cable to the Video-In card as you said.
