http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2061614767Take a gander at the pic. Unless I'm mistaken, thats a G3, right? Then which computer's mobo is it? It's definiteley one from a AIO, but it doesn't look like a 603e to me... ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

Most likely not a G3 on that board, but rather a 603e processor. Judging from the presence of one PCI slot, this is a Power Mac (Performa) 5400/5500 series logicboard.------------------ Captain Z - Mobile Operations Commander 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 23 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff |

That, my friend, is a Power Macintosh 5500 logic board. It can be identified as a 5500 logic board, because of the ATI graphics chip instead of the old crappy Valkyrie that powered the video in all Performas previous to it, and because the 603ev looks like a G3, like the one in a PowerBook 3400. Its a newer revision of the processor.-------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6

Ah, that explains it... The 603e in a 5400 which I've seen is square. Not worth bidding on, then. :)~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

Why isn't it worth bidding on? You can upgrade the 5400 with it, to a 200/250 Mhz PPC, and a Rage IIc, which kicks the crap out of the 5400's Valkyrie video chip like you wouldn't believe. Also, if you have a 630, 580, or roadappled 5xxx/6xxx series Performa with a buggy ROM that you can't bother finding a new ROM for, you can stick the 5500 mobo in it, and believe me, it will run just fine. I have seen this be done before. However, you still need to do a 3.3v hack if you want to install a PCI card or a G3 upgrade.-------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6
