My display is acting funny, it's syncing, but it's filling the screen so much that it's way over the edges of the tube so to get to all areas i have to move the picture. Yes, i've adjusted it to the smallest it would go and still no luck. I looked up the manual and tried to reset the settings, but that didn't help. Any thoughts appresciated.

It sounds like it's in overscan mode. What model is it? 1705? And, what OS? In 8.1-9.x there's an "overscan" option in the monitors or monitors & sound control panel.

Okay, are you running at 1024x768? If so, make sure you're at 75Hz.

Since I just remembered that in OS 9.1 and with this monitor there probably isn't any software "overscan" option, but that still seems like what it's doing. Try using the 17's front display buttons to go through and see if there's a manual overscan option.

yeah, i had already been to gamba to get the manuals and the ug didn't say anything. I've tried it with 3 different macs with all supported resolutions and nothing works. Every res is way to big. My guess is that it shot craps on me. I'd bid on one on ebay or something, but they cost so much to ship! So i'm back to my 14" nec until i find something else.
