Okay, so I picked up my 280c on Saturday from the seller and I'm just now trying to check it out. I plug it in using the AC adapater, and the green LED on the back of the display comes on but it won't power on. I hit the power button on the front and nothing happens. I hit the power button on the back and i hear a click and nothing else. Hmmmm....

I have a new PRAM battery, a new 28MB RAM chip and a new 500MB hard drive all coming in the mail, so should I just wait until I get them in to try it out?

Sounds what my PowerBook 190 does sometimes. Try holding down the reset button for 10 seconds. Not sure where the reset button is on those machines though, mine is on the back.
