Well, I'm so happy, 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.

TiMaclover why would you install linux on it? That seems kinda pointless. It can run OS9 just fine.68k Macintosh Liberation Army Christophillis- Privite First Class Total 68k Macs Liberated: 4 |

YDL 2.x would be kinda neat on it. You'd have to boot the laptop from an external drive, wipe the internal drive and partition it in two first, though.666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 5 |

It's usually a free download and there have been distributions on the Mac mag CD's since 3400 days. MaximumLinux is just as much fun as MacAddict and I MHO, MaximumPC is even more irreverent! Never hurts to PLAY with other OS's, it just excruciatingly painful to have to DEPEND on all of them to widely varying degrees. Learning is a good thing, know your enemy. jt

Sorry I spelled waste wrong. But, you might be right about the more Os's thing but I don't want to have to wipe the hard drive on my main computer. Yes this powerbook is my main computer until I scrounge enough money to buy a new flat-panel imac. But until then I'll stick to this and my trusty Color Classic.68k Macintosh Liberation Army Christophillis- Privite First Class Total 68k Macs Liberated: 4 |
