I have a Performa 636 and I can get on the net with it but have no phone so I have been going back and forth with floppies from my moms PC but, everything I download won't work. Any advice?

Firstly, you need a copy of Stuffit Expander, which you can get at www.aladdynsys.com, for the Performa. Once you have StuffIt Expander on the Performa, you can download .sit, .hqx, .bin and possibly even .sea files on the PC, and then transfer them to the Mac via floppies, as long as the Mac has PC Exchange control panel installed. You can then open the files in Stuffit Expander, off the floppy, and extract them to your hard disk.
