I own 20% of a hosting Company and would be glad to offer 68Kmla with free hosting. You could even do your own custom dns records so that the forums and website show as real domains. :)

I could give you 200M and 10GB traffic. Plus MySQL and more.

E-mail me for more info. :)

Does it support ASP? And MSFT Acsess Databases? If not we'd have to restart the forumms if we switched.

I'll have to check.

But since we are a Mac Liberation Army, why bother with Microsoft's ASP? hehe :P

Use PHP & MySQL. It looks pretty.

I will check on compatibility for you. I'll post back with details.

Check out www.emaculation.com's forums they are very nice. :)

A switch to mac servers would be reassuring, and also probably more stable :-P, but is it at all possible?

~Coxy, u anywhere near this thread? *looks around frantically waving hands*

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

I'm worried about the viability of free hosting. I don't want this to be one of those sites which is continually down due to favours running thin and host changes, after all, the recent outage was bad enough.

Are the forums written in ColdFusion? if so, are you using a SQL database server or just running off a MSAccess driver, or has it been explained and in my invincibly ignorant way, I have been too thick to see?

I just got some free time. Yes my servers have ASP on them. Here is a roundup:

250MB Disk Space
20GB Traffic
ASP
PHP
MySQL
PHPBB2
OBDC

Is this sounding good for you? You can transfer the domain over to our servers and have everything running from one box. You can even create subdomains and third level domains, like http://forums.68kmla.com.

Let me know if you are interested. This is quality hosting, no ads or any of that garbage.
