That's crazy...
I have about 150 + whatever comes with Mac OS X.

In other font news, I went hunting for that book by Karow jt mentioned a while back when Bézier came up in a thread. I din't find it, but I did pick up Font Technology, which he wrote and was released by URW. Interesting read, I wonder what happened to IKARUS...

Is that just top level fonts, or including all the little "regular, bold, etc" variations (there IS a real word for that, forget what)?

Currently I'm running about 500, but that is just after slowly adding what I need since the clean install of jaguar. My personal G3 has about 600+.

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

Comic Sans MS?
That's truetype! I thought we were talking about fonts . . .

I could install a lot more, but I designated the shop an Helvetica Free Zone, so I'm operating at a disadvantage if this a competition.

I like Skia, Verdana (in all caps), Bernhard Modern and Footlight m'self...

As for how many I have, it's less than 200. OS 9 and below have some dorky limit...

Hah! I've got your weakness now!
<runs off, and installs Helvetica, Neue Helvetica, Nimbus Sans, Arial, Holsatia, Trirumvirate and AG Buch...>

And OS 9's limit is 128 suitcases, not typefaces.
