this time, it accually did something, exept I made the mestake of trying to boot it off of my external SCSI 24X CDrom, and now it just hangs, just before you would usually see the happy mac (w/mouse). any suggestions? I have allready tried booting of my spare os9 install disk, and zapping the PRAM at least 10 times... argh! must have AIO!

Now that you've mentioned the CD ROM, we could be onto something. Is the CD ROM still connected? Is all your termination and SCSI IDs and stuff correct? It sounds like a SCSI voodoo issue to me.

IS it OS X and its support for SCSI gone bad? I know that scsi is semi flaky, and running it on and old amchine yadda yadda probably just makes it REALLY prone to scsi isssues.

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.
