I used to play it all the time on my Duo 280c, too...when I had a working 280c, that is. First of all, make sure you have the fully-automatic machinegun. Anything less won't cut it. Now, find the room(s) that's full of health and ammo power-ups, you're going to need this stuff. Then, hide behind a pillar, and jump out sideways and shoot at him, then quickly get back behind the pillar so he can't open fire on you. You just have to keep doing this over and over, and run back to the room with the power-ups to get more ammo and boost health back up again. It may take a while, but it's the best way to do it without using cheats. You can download it here. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net Edited by - cinemafia on 09 Oct 2002 12:23:08

See also http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/3744/index2.html for Wolfenstein scenarios. All kinds of stuff here.Have you tried Doom (download from http://mac.the-underdogs.org/ ) or Marathon (from the Bungie Mac Action Sack) yet? They should both run well on your machine. One summer when I lived in Manhattan I paid so much in rent that I couldn't really afford to eat or have fun, so I played Ultimate doom over and over and over. I had to turn down the volume and put a cd on to keep the game sounds from getting ingrained in my head and invading my dreams. I still have the game on cd if anyone wants me to post a disk image on my website.mathgeek 68K Macs Liberated: LC, Performa 636, Mac Classic II My Powerbook 1400 page http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dgoulet/1400 |

Why? I don't play doom. I love Wolfstien, It's so kitch with its pics of hitler & eerie music. I played doom about, erm , maybe 9 years ago on my friends pc. It is just so bland. Is thier any point to doom? Even if there was a good bit/s could I realy be bothered to play it to find them? Doom is liked by ppl who get excited about pc's "oooohh look, it's a grey box!" I even prefer Applers to pc/doomers I AM A FRUSTRATED COMPUTER SOFTWARE DESIGNER.
Software design is severly lacking on both pc & Apple. Now I have lost it & am just ranting incoherently, but you did have the indignity to suggest I try playing doom! Hey I could have a whole vocab of things which realy pizz me off! shaktiman Quadra 840av, 128MB ram, 2MB vram, cd drive(caddy),1 caddy!:-) 1.2 gig drive, 4.23 gig drive 3 monitors 15" & 14" & 14" os 8.1 56k modem, Stylewriter 1200, Umax 1220s scanner

Try typing "LEDOUX" (without quotes, in caps). It gives you invincibility, all weapons, and unlimited ammo.Wonko The Sane Engineer-in-training 3 Macs Liberated "You can't possibly be a scientist if you mind people thinking that you're a fool."- Wonko The Sane |

Not really. It's fun to play with friends, though. Get your old Macs networked and blow the crap out of each other! Marathon has a great plot, though. Have you played it yet? If not, SHAME ON YOU!
