Allright, I need some small things because I want to get my PowerMac 6100 hopefully running:- ADB Mouse (teardrop preferred) - ADB Keyboard (NO LONGER NEEDED. SEE BELOW) - 255MB SCSI HD, the Quantum/Apple branded ones - 32MB 72-pin SIMM (to match another one I have) - Mac OS 8.5/8.6 CD - Cheap monitors. Should display 800x600 (don't need 1024x768 though). Standard Apple connector or VGA WITH an adapter. Also these are some things I am interested in but don't really need now: - Mac OS 8 or 7.6 CD I can trade these things for them: - Lots of assorted 72-pin SIMMs. Just tell me what sizes you want because I probably have then. - Spare LC III motherboard with a free 4MB SIMM - I think, it's a Mac IIci motherboard, or otherwise a II series board with lots of unknown size RAM SIMMs. - Performa 6x0 motherboard - Comm Slot modem. Unknown speed/model (probably Geoport 14.4 or 28.8) - I think I have an LC II board also, but I have two of them, but one of them is the board from my Performa 400 and I want to keep that one. I forgot which is which! I'll gladly also pay with PayPal. ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) Quadra 610 (no monitor!) Performa 400, upgraded to 475 (busted monitor!) Apple IIe (dead, but I still keep it :,( ) Edited by - Mike on 02 Oct 2002 20:36:21 |

I've never seen a 255mb one, but I've got a 230mb Quantum/Apple drive. Would you consider a swap for the LC III board and (maybe) a bigger 72-pin SIMM? Thanks... <<<john>>> |

I have a keyboard, mouse, and 255 MB Quantum HD. Would you be willing to trade me for some RAM? I guess I'll throw in my 2 cents. I've got: Mouse, Keyboard (three types of small ones), HD, OS 7.6CD, OS 8.1 CD, OS 8.6 CD, and a POS hp 14" SVGA monitor that is technically capable of 1024x768. I never use it above 800x600, though. And I could even throw in an adapter. What I'd want: 72-pin SIMMs are good, especially 16MB ones. II series motherboard. The way to tell which II series motherboard you have is as follows: Does it have 3 or 6 NuBus slots? If 3, then it's either a IIcx, IIci, or Quadra. I'm assuming it has a 68030 on it, so it's not a Quadra. If it has onboard video, it's a IIci, if it doesn't, it's a IIcx. If 6 slots, it's a II, IIx, or IIfx. If it's got a 68020, it's a II. If it's got a 68030, it's a IIx or IIfx. If the NuBus slot closest to the processor has an extension behind it, it's a IIfx, if all NuBus slots are the same length, it's a IIx. I'm most interested in the motherboard if it's a IIci board or IIfx board. Proud Liberator of over 25 Macintoshes! |

I found MORE stuff I can trade:- SupraExpress 14.4 Plus ADB Powered. Works on my old AOL account on my 7300 if I set the port speed to 57600 - DOS Card for PowerMac 6100. Includes free copy of MS-DOS if I can find it. - Untested NuBus Ethernet card. Looks pretty fancy, model unknown. - an LC III Motherboard overclocked to 33MHz (LC III+). It's really cool. It runs great. I used it to convert my friend to Macs, and now he has an iBook. Comes with 4MB SIMM - Unknown power supply. One half side of it is completely open. I think it's for the II Series motherboard I have. - Lots of internal SCSI wires. - JamCam 2.0. USB. Takes OK pictures in good sunlight. - Apple IIc Power Supply. Don't know if it works. - Quadra 630 Motherboard. Comes with a comm slot ethernet card and an unknown RAM simm. Cannot test motherboard due to lack of Quadra 630 case. - Performa 630 Motherboard, untested. Just like the Quadra 630, except it is a 68LC040, 4MB RAM SIMM (tested) and empty comm slot. - DEAD Comm Slot II 56K Modem. DEAD. Got fried in an electricle storm. DEAD. - GeoPort modem, external. Works. Sucks. - Practical Perhiperals 14.4 Modem. Excellent modem, I used it for several months when my 56K was also fried in the storm. Before that, my PC Convert friend used it on his souped up LC III. - USRobotics 56K Modem. Probably dead. This was the first modem I ever used. We paid $300 for it since it was new and fast. The phone wires are all messed up and needs soldering. (Sentimental Value, Add $5) - USRobotics 28.8 Modem. Also an excellent modem, but I want to keep it as a backup in case we move and lose our lovely cable internet. - Quadra/Centris/Performa 610 bracket adapter. Let's you use a NuBus card in Quadra/Centris/Performa 610. - Macintosh Quadra 610. Doesn't belong to me, but you could negotiate with my friend. - Lots and lots and lots of cables. Just ask. I probably have it. - A lot more stuff than I can list. ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) Quadra 610 (no monitor!) I just remembered I can use the bracket thing with my Quadra 610, so I will test the card first, get the model number, look at eBay a little and then give you a price. Not more than $15 + shipping (probably $10) and I can throw any drivers needed on a floppy.====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) I found a really good ADB Keyboard auction on eBay. It's a dutch (multiple item) auction with 11 of the really small keyboards. These were usually used on IIGS computers. It's smaller than the Performa type keyboards I was talking about earlier. They are ADB so they can work on Macs too. I've ordered two of them! Ends in 22 hours!http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2057640651&rd=1 ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) Updates:- There is officially an LC II motherboard available. It has a VRAM SIMM and 2 RAM SIMMs. They're probably 2MB RAM SIMMs. I don't know. I need to find an old hard drive and put System 7.1 on it to use to test all of this stuff. - There are two DOS Cards available for PowerMac 6100s. The first person who wants one gets the DOS install disks as well as a few Windows 3.1 install disks (NOT THE WHOLE SET). - USRobotics ISA Modem, 28.8. Tested, works. - Some 700MB CD-Rs that do not work in my iMac G4. ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) Hey Mike- I'm not up for any trades at the moment, but I'm mildly interested in that JamCam you've got listed... can you share any info/specs on it? My little sister could use something like that, just for fun. My biggest question is whether it could work with OS X or not. Thanks! SpaceBoyAppleBASIC FOREVER! I just took out the 32X SCSI CD-ROM drive from my PowerMac 7300/180 since it doesn't need it anymore. You can now buy it from me or trade for it. Here's the specs:- Pioneer 32x CD-ROM drive - SLOT LOADING - Supports 68K, PPC, and OS X! (yes, OS X supports this 3rd party drive, because the SuperDrives are Pioneer based, so I guess it uses some of that code or something.) - Needs one control panel to work. Control panel requires System 7 and up. - 50 Pin SCSI connector - CD Audio connector (analog) - Reads just about all CD formats - Fast as Hell!! I'll take trades or $25 for it. ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) Quadra 610 (no monitor!) Wow! This sounds like an amazing, 'hack-in-the-making' kinda device! Anyway, I want this drive, but I don't have any of the stuff that you're looking to trade for, other then some SCSI hard drives that are larger then 255 megs... would you be interested in one of these? If so, I'll poke around in my close-, err spare parts receptical and see what I can turn up. Otherwise, I'll just pay the $25 for it. What zip are you in? I'm in 89119, if that helps figure out shipping costs. Okay, gotta get some sleep... SpaceBoy PS I'm gonna pass on that JamCam, since I'm trying to get the rest of the family OS X-only.... much easier to admin that way...AppleBASIC FOREVER! I think I might have the hard drive issue solved. I found some old 255 meg drives that I know should work once I give them nice low level formatsSo then, it's $25 for the drive, and after looking on the USPS website about $5 for First Class Mail shipping (I don't know the exact weight because I don't have a scale that good, so I entered an estimate). So $30 total. Do you have PayPal? Money Order/Check is also fine. ====================== Current Macs: iMac G4 (main mac) PowerMac 7300/180 (server) PowerMac 6100/66 (no monitor!) After looking at all of the stuff I had I decided to open my own store using PayPal. I am still adding all of my stuff to it and testing lots of old RAM in this poor little LC III in a cardbord box.
