Hey there Groovers,I'm looking for the clear plastic bookcover thingy from a PB 1400. Usual goes... I can pay hard currency or trade for any number of interesting mac bits and pieces. Cheers! Funny, I just saw a 1400 for sale on eBay that came with it (and a ton of inserts!). Lost the link though... 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net Edited by - cinemafia on 25 Sep 2002 19:42:22

One of the greatest ideas I ever heard was a solar panel that went into that bookcover slot on the 1400 to augment your battery life. Never saw one, but what an idea!{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 3} { My baby: Q660av } |

Hmmm, well, that really depends what you're after. Anything on this list interest you? 30 pin RAM.... I've got matched sets of 4 in 512k, 1, 2 (I think) and some 4 mb modules. Small apple hard drives (250 mb prodrives) Video adaptors (for using PC monitors on an older mac - not the other way 'round) Ether+ SCSI to ethernet adaptor (no power supply) Various internal & external mac cables Apple //e LC card (no cable) Pair of 8mb 72 pin SIMMS Various Mac II Nubus display cards RasterOps Nubus Accelerator Board II (I think a quicktime accelerator board of some type) LC ethernet card ISA SCSI card Asante Fast 10/100 PCI ethernet card Various old apple manuals... ...Mac system software users guide version 6.0.4 ...Mac users guide for desktop mac computers ('92 and '93 versions) ...Powerbook Getting Started (for PB150) ...Multi-scan 15AV display manual. Hmmm, the 4MB modules would be nice, I've got too many of the others as it is. Although 64pin IIfx modules are what I REALLY need.

The //e card may be fun, what limitations are imposed by not having the cable?

Well, I've already got plenty of NuBus video cards, and already have two Radius 'RISC Processor boards' that I don't know what to do with...

Woohoo! more NuBus goodness from my favorite company! What's the rest of the copy on the Radius cards say and what kind of chips? Sounds like they might be Photoboosters.Maybe we can figure out where you might send one! jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

Hmmm. I wouldn't mind getting my grubby little hands on one of those photoboosters myself (if thats what they are...).However, regarding the immediate matter...let me know what you consider a fair trade for the bookcover, e-mail me your delivery address... and I'll send your goodies off. Okay, the rumored photobooster is the following: Looking at it 'upside down' (i.e. NuBus connector on the top left, external bracket running along the left side) we have the following:Text (For all text, a '/' indicates a line break): Upper left corner, silk-screened on: "(C) RADIUS INC. 1988 / ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" Bottom, center, silk-screened on: "RADIUS RISC PROCESSOR BOARD" Bottom right corner, silk-screened: "ASSY 630-0035-" with 'B' hand written after the dash. Chips: Closest to the external bracket, 8 MCM6164CC55 chips, in a column of five and a column of four. The column of five also contains an EEPROM with a sticker reading: "(C)1990 RADIUS INC. / QUICK COLOR / U37 297-0041-A / V 1.0 256K" All are socketed. In the middle is a set of 5 chips marked "S74AL3573BN / FGM2184 / 9005VA", a set of 7 chips marked "S+B9006 / DM74ALS648NT", and a large socketed VLSI chip, "9016AV A12695 / VL86C010-12QC" Along the right are a set of 8 socketed chips marked "RAD 323-1103-A / GAL20V8A-12LP / S1284 9007806" I'll scan and post a pic of the card soon.
