Howdy, folks! Well, it's actually happened: Apple has released it's massively 'buzzword-compliant' Rendezvous software as open-source! Wheeee! Anyway, since I love 68k's (and other assorted antiquated hardware), , but lack any modern programming skills, I'm wondering if it'll be possibly to write a Rendezvous client (if that's the right term) for such older Macs. As a frequent mac-networker, it'd be a godsend to be able to make use of some of the features that Rendezvous supposedly has... who wouldn't want to be able to run an ethernet cable from their G3 or G4 to their 68k (or early PPC) Mac, and have them instantly 'see' each-other, without having to putz around with AppleTalk, network settings, etc.?! Any thoughts on the possibilities? SpaceBoyAppleBASIC FOREVER!
