Because I've got this problem....
quote: I just spent nearly two hours (custom) installing a 918MB hard disk file of Slackware 8.1 off a CD on Virtual PC 5, and when I finished, I was told by the installer to Ctr-Alt-Delete to restart. Since I couldn't do that, I just chose "Shut Down" from the menu and then booted again (I probably should have chosen Restart, but that's too late now, right?) When I restarted, it just booted from the CD again, as if the disk image weren't there! I ejected the CD and got a blinking cursor, nothing. How do I get it to recognize the image??
It's from my thread in the Macaddict (Linux) forums. I just wanted to give it maximum exposure.Wonko The Sane Engineer-in-training 3 Macs Liberated "You can't possibly be a scientist if you mind people thinking that you're a fool."- Wonko The Sane |
