Well, it seems no one wanted to buy my Performa or my Quadr's old floppy drive. Therefore the Performa may as well inherit the floppy drive.

The Performa was allways slow.

I am thinking to install system 6 instead of the system 7 it has at the moment.

The Performa will have an 80 meg hard drive & a floppy drive.

Thinking about it I know what I must do, I think.

Download os 6 & then network Quadra & Performa & save os to floppy drive(on Performa).

now I wish to have the two macs networked & as both serial ports are in use on the Quadra I would like to try to use ethernet.

I need;

pds ethernet card for the Performa 400?
ethernet cable?(twisted or swapped?)
rj45 adapter for my Quadra?

Hello skatiman

For your performa 400 the apple's system 7.1 or 7.5 is the best.If you want to connect it on internet use the apple's system 7.5.

For your information Ethernet is an internal network to connect a computer to a computer ( for example ).
