the biggest chip they make... whatever it is... i want to update my duo 2300c to 60mb i think is the max... and it has 12 built in so i guess that would be...48 or something. i have some crap to trade like mice, db15 monitor cables, db15 switch boxes. duo dock hard drive mounting rack and cash

The 2300c has 8mB on the logic board. If you have 12MB, then you have a 4MB chip in there. The max is 56MB, so you need a 48MB chip to swap in there. Good luck finding one cheap tho.
