i connect (ara control strip) start up AIM and Outlook express (in that order) send/recieve emails IE starts up to "click here to get paid" in paid email thing after that, i usually google around and of course, i visit here and check up on doofsmack's forums (doofsmack.tommunism.net)i would use hotline also, but i haven't found time to download it go to doofsmack.tommunism.net and sign up and say that you like macs, in fact, give all the reason that 68k macs are even better than pentium class machines! roughly... Here, slashdot.org, eBay (!) and the stats for the server. After jumping onto IRC and checking email too, I roll around to lowendmac and the applefritter forums and that's about it :D Quadra 605 Obsessions

Hmm, good thread! Here's my typical online adventure:
- Load up Mozilla (actually, now I've got it setup so it loads at boot, hidden in the background... aah, how I love you, loginitems!)
- Check out Slashdot, esp. the apple section, as they often tell about new updates before anyone
- Head over to Versiontracker, and have a look at the new share/free/trialware stuff that came out today... ahh, free software, will I ever get enough?
- Guiltily log into my Hotmail account, delete current batch of spam (at least 200/day now... sigh. Why oh why did I ever give BillG $20 frickin' dollars for an 'expanded' account?! WWWHHHHHHYYYYY???), and then head to webmail.mac.com and get some email that's <GASP!> actually for me!!!
- Cruise over here, check out the Active Topics, see what's cookin'...
- Mosey on over to LowEndMac, see what's new over there...
- Lastly, I scope out cnn.com, make sure the world hasn't ended yet... tick tick tick...
There are plenty of other sites I like to visit (like www.obsoletecomputermusuem.org's HelpLine, which has had a surprising amount of Mac-related entries lately!), but the list above give a good sample of my bare-minimum web wanderings. I fire up my server shelf (consisting of a IIsi,a II, a semi-working IIcx, a 1X hitachi CDrom drive that needs a cable, a bunch of external HDs, and my tub 'o' ram) and try and get them all to talk to eachother thru appletalk, then try and get the II on the net again (it was working for a while there... if someone could tell me how to get DCHP working on a II, then email me.)I fire up AIM, and blab for a while I check up on various emulators (MAME, Zsnes, snes9x, ETC.) I go to www.dejap.com (they translate snes ROMs, some real gems that were never released here) I head on here I check Ebay, and drool over stuff I cant have/afford I fire up my powerbook and install/delete things <---I am here I wish I could get an apple newton messagepad 120 screen for mine (it broke. I need a new one -hint nudge wink-) then I eat, walk the dog, and surf unil I go to bed. THNX -I don't feel like putting a quote here!
