Hey,I have a IIci and I'm trying to turn it into the mother of all IIci's. 128 MB RAM, 4.5 GB hard drive, ethernet... so far so good, but I want to get an upgrade for the CPU. My dream is a MicroMac Carerra040 90mhz, but if you have a IIci 040 processor upgrade of any sort, email me, please lemme know... I have one. I was going to trade it to Dana for her AudioMedia II, but the shipping to Aus has, lately, prohibited. If you are in the US and willing to make a cash offer or have something that I really want to trade, I'd be willing to part with it. P.S. - Speaking of mother-of-all-IIci's, I'm working on one, too. So far it's running off a 66MHz Turbo 601 card with 68MB of RAM and a 2GB hard drive along with an ethernet card, 24-bit video card and a PAS-16 card. I just need 4 more 16MB RAM SIMMs to max it out, along with a bigger hard drive and a (d'oh!) new monitor. It was using a Multiscan 15", but it broke. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net Edited by - cinemafia on 18 Sep 2002 14:55:41

Okay, I've got one, but I'm not 100% certain what it is. Let me check and I'll get back to you. (It's a Carerra, but I don't know how fast.) Proud Liberator of over 25 Macintoshes! |

Alrighty. Turns out it's a MicroMac Carerra040 66MHz. I think. (It tests as if it were a 66MHz, but I can't find anything either written on it, or with any testing tools I've got handy, that shows the actual MHz of it.)Proud Liberator of over 25 Macintoshes! |
