I pulled my pc apart completely.

I have taken a picture(& if you saw me holfing my scanner sideways in the air with wires for both Quadra & scanner stretched to the limit, u most certianly wont be asking me to take a better picture) but cannot upload it at the moment(can upload but powergen arn't allowing me access to my homepage).

I can email it & think I will.

I have the drive's housing atop of my Quadra.

The power supply from the pc is up on the top too.

Can I use the internal power supply or shall I just use the pc's?

The modem is on the very top. I like the modem cos it has flashing lights so I know if my Quadra is comminicating with the internet or not. But the modem casing dosn'y quite fit into the drive housing.

I think I will open the modem casing & should be able to fit it in.

All this means that I now just need the casing itself. I will go & look at mac specs to see if any of the mac cases are nice enough, though ideally I would put the top half of another Quadra 840 case on top. This would have the added benefit of having spaces for the power leads & for the scsi.

But now I am a little confused as to how to attach the drives. the internal scsi cable as trash mentioned in another post occurs as what I want. But how can I attach the externals to the quadra? 1 external cable?

I emailed the pic to trash, if anyone wants to see.

now I went for a quick look at apple specs.

I got sidetracked as such cos I just slobbered over all the av models.

could one put a 68k cpu into a ppc av?

hmmmm.

I need a casing that is 19.5 X 20 or 39 (26 to 35 is raised about 3 mm) X 16

all cm.

Firstly, excepting putting a Radius Rocket into a 7100/AV or 8100/AV, its impossible to put a 68k CPU into an AV Mac, because the connectors and signals are not the same. Secondly, regarding the case that you need, how good are you at working with wood? I'm sure that with a hacksaw, hammer, nails, a bit of wood and some time, you could whip up something quite nice. Either way, it was just a thought...
