That depends.. When you say 'software to connect to my school network', do you mean that they require special software, or you just need Ethernet drivers? If you just need Ethernet drivers, what is the brand of Ethernet card? Try the Driver museum at http://www.macdrivermuseum.com/

Also, you'll need a system that can connect to whatever sort of network your school has. Most mac systems will all work fine together, but you might need something like Dave for peecee networks, and that might require a new-ish system

That's the back key/slow forums bug, just keep away from the back key after posting and make sure you only click "post new reply once" even if it seems like it must not have been notice by the computer the first time!

It's easy to delete your own booboos, just click the garbage can icon, click "send" in the dialog box and then click "close this window", the "send" key is less than intuitive in that dialog box.

Uh..... 7.5.5 should have come with an 'AppleTalk' and a 'TCP/IP' control panel, if it's in 'OpenTransport' mode. If it's in 'Classic Networking' mode, you'll see a 'Network' and a 'MacTCP' control panels, which will work just fine.

Doing a clean install of the System is probably better than doing it piecewise, if you've got the disks. Or you could use the Open Transport installer, I guess.
