<---> (the - should be dots, but I cant make them go to the middle of the line)

I've resurected the old Centris 650 I picked up, and the processor has a heat sink on it, which makes me think it's a model with ethernet, but that looks like no ethernet port I've ever seen.

It looks like my ethernet port!

I have been told that I need a rj-45 (?) adapter.

I bought a copy of MacFormat cos it had an ethernet cable, but lol it dosn't fit in my ethernet port.

yup, that'd be AAUI and you need a 10baseT Transceiver whith the RJ-45 connector to hook it up to a hub with a standard cable or with a crossover cable to hook it directly to another 10baseT device like another Mac or a DSL modem.
