*rummages thru toy acquisitions consolidating hoard of cables and miscellaneous goodies and absolute crap overrunning shop*

*curses*

*repacks lot of cables scarfed up on a whim in May at $13.50 shipping included because you can never have too many cables*

*slaps forehead, gasps and faints*

*regains consciousness and post piccies of misc. cabling crap to see if it takes comrades nearly four months to spot the gleaming nugget nestled in the pan amongst the pretty stones, gravel and sand*

The MiniDin8 -> DB9 cable looks useful. Might allow me to use my black TI-GraphLink cable with a Mac.

The serial adapters were one of the reasons I bought that lot, but they ain't within an order of magnitude of the real find in that piccie!

None of this stuff is available, btw. (unless, of course, there is something somebody wants to trade that I can't live without, but the nugget's never leaving my grubby little paws! )

LOL! T2 was the other title for the thread I had considered, but I went with the quiz-bomb format. Duration of test 0:35:40 with a viewcount in single digits, you guys are improving. I think my other quiz is still waiting to be answered.

I can't believe it took me so long to spot this black diamond, I thought it was PowerBook gray but The Apple logo finally set off alarm claxons. I've got good instincts tho, what a freakin' deal!

How rare are these things and what are they worth, I've never even bothered to try to find one because I'd NEVER seen one for sale!

Now if I could just remember where I cached the internal filter I put someplace where I wouldn't loose it!

Congrats

Now put it under lock & key?

they are good cables indeed though, a cable collection to be proud of.

I have;

an ethernet cable

an 8 pin mini din to 25 pin db

but my best was my 3 pronged power lead, instead of having three plugs just 1!

Curly adb's are great.

Actually, if you ripped open a normal (moulded!) terminator, and replaced the resistor, you have a very uncool T2, perfect for IIfxs or LaserWriters. EvilHack™ time!

Have you got the electrical spec for the resistor pack in the Terminator II? I'd like to have that and the spec on the filter.

It'd be a LOT easier to build the T2 resistor pack into an external CD-ROM case and make sure it's always the last device on the chain than it would be to tear an existing terminator apart. Do the active terminators on the old APS drives work on the IIfx in place of the T2?

I'm not sure about auto-terminating devices, but AFAIK the black terminator is 200 ohm.

I see the BNC to DB15 video adapter, that'd be a gleaming nugget for someone, though not me, here is a hint though, try fritter's other tech fourm, something about a radius monitor :)
