I upgraded the PB 520 to the Apple 100mhz-now, I cannot get on the net because my "Shared Library Manager" folder needs to be "PPC", but isn't. Is there somewhere I can download the SLM PPC extension? Or do I have to do a clean install? How do I do that without wiping the hard drive? Thanks! |

you could do an install where it installs just a new system folder.... can't think of the name of it. it won't wipe the HD and youll get what you want.________________ foetoid, that's (fee-toy-d) http://www.foetoid.doesntexist.com |

Just run the installer off the system install CD and choose clean install. You don't have to wipe the drive.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert OpenStep Page at http://openstep.topcities.com/ Macs Liberated: SE (2), LC, IIsi, PB 145b, Quadra 700, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

I can send it to you if you don't have the CD or disk that you need. On the OS 8 cd, the PPC shared library manager is in the system folder that the CD uses to boot from, so you won't need to do any installation if you have that{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 3} { My baby: Q660av } |
