I have a performa 6200, i got rid of the perf 600 to get it...so far.. i hate the 6xxx series, i haven't had one that works at all, like the 6100, it turns on, the HDD spins up but nothing else happens, no tone, no video feeedback... no LED on the front either turning on with the keyboard works though :) and it's in pretty good physical condition (no feets fallen off, the case stays on and is complete...) If you've got the 14.4 modem in it and all the original software installed on it, you can make it an answering machine with MegaPhone which was included with the software. It's pretty nifty.________________ foetoid, that's (fee-toy-d) http://www.foetoid.doesntexist.com |

The 6200 was a really bad Mac. You're better off with a 6100, at least if you're planning to do any internet or AV work with it. See the article on it at LowEndMac.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert OpenStep Page at http://openstep.topcities.com/ Macs Liberated: SE (2), LC, IIsi, PB 145b, Quadra 700, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

With the 6100: try replacing the PRAM battery. Odds are, it's dead.-------------------- keeper of the website , master of the Quadra/Centris Stick of Justice™, and figure-head of the Peoples' PDS Republic -------------------- |
