Not sure of it's specs, it is running 7.1 but giving me the old flashing question mark/disk at the moment. Had standard back fitout - (left to right) power, screen plug in, printer, modem, scuzzi (I love scuzzi), usb, speakers, ethernet. I live in Sydney. I love these pizza boxes (said with reverence).Thank you |

Ex-squeeze Me?I'm thinking "uuuuhhh... BOO!" (being Mandarin for "NO!") on the USB. USB didn't exist in the early 90's. Pop quiz with a MLA award for knowing the port between SCSI and speakers on an LC. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie 68k Macintosh Liberation Army ~~"We are all Mad here."~~ |

Well okay, I THOUGHT it was USB so I shdnt throw the jargon around in the china shop. So what is it? Daisy chain sounds yuck..I tell my PC workmates that apples have been daisychaining things for years, they're only just getting into the usb thing.Retreating, silenced, Charlie

To answer your question the question mark means that the computer can't find the startup disk and you need to boot from a floppy or cd and set a startup disk.68k Macintosh Liberation Army Christophillis- Privite First Class Total 68k Macs Liberated: 4 |

Thanks Christophillis. I tried that a couple of times but no progress. I think what I'll do is - take a few deep breaths and investigate the logic board - but before i do that Im gonna redo all the connections, and try a different startup disk (the one I had has been pretty bashed around). I'll let you know. Charlie

Is the problem the boot disks or the hardware? If the boot disks are the problem you can download a System 7.5 Network boot disk from Apple's site (I don't know the address off the top of my head but if you muck around in the support downloads section long enough your bond to find it). You can download the disk image and put it onto a floppy. If this disk doesn't work you've probably got a hardware problem.68k Macintosh Liberation Army skamen- Lieutenant Commander Total 68k Macs Liberated: 3
