Wow! Just received a RasterOps Paintboard Lightning that I bought for AU$20 (thats 10 bucks to our american contingent) on eBay. It turned up still shrinkwrapped in the original box, with the original pricetag... $1806.00!

Just for fun I started adding up the original values of my 68k kit. The nearest I could estimate is somewhere above US$60k. Between shrewd eBaying and dumpster diving, this lot has cost me a cool US$200 (give or take). Now thats progress for ya!

my entire mac arsenel...
price then : 20~30K$ CAD (excluding my newton)

price now : 50~75$ CAD (once again. exlude newt.)

muahahah! MY SCANNER IS SUPERIOR! IT WAS 800$ WHEN IT WAS NEW! and my vacation pictures are gonna be served on a hard drive that is older than me and costed 3K$!! then my 2 mac portables, my fancy mac II arsenel (II, IIcx, IIsi) my SUPER souped up PM7500, my G3 AIO, extened past the factory recommendations, my centris 650 (allso bumped up quite a bit, my epson stylus color 600, all the random peripherals... HEHE! the list goes on. we would be considered brats and/or spoiled back in tha day.
