...when you're bored?

i:

  • pull things apart
  • come up with crazy ideas
  • sleep
  • study
  • make paper planes

ATM i'm currently finalising the design for my current one: Apple Airways, powered by '040! The art has been drawn by hand (using my custom crappy drawing skills), which i am currently working on. So far, i've branded it, "Apple Airways", and I've worked out how to get it stable and...schtuff...and I've also hand drawn the '040 logo. Next: The "MicroQuadra....FEETS!" logo, courtesy of crappy drawing skills.

Sorry for wasting time with stupid thoughts about a dumb worthless sheet of printer paper, but still, at 10 pm, after day 1 of finals, my brain sorta goes wandering!

I sleep or stare at the wall and daydream. I'm seldom that bored so it never happens. If i could just spend less time on the computer, I'd be ok.

I'm never bored, or at least I never should be! I spend all too much time reading things online (and posting) and not being useful, so those few moments I can drag myself away from the computer I'm always oh so busy! Actually I think boredom is more a function of tiredness and/or laziness, so when I can't bear to do anything else I surf the net or read books.

When I'm bored, then I'm just enjoying the moment. Lol, Shakti and Cine will probably agree with this. With kids, you're never bored unless they just fell asleep or the wife took them out for awhile. It's when the house get's that empty feeling that I'm not sure what to do right away, then it hits me. Crank up the tunes!!!! Then you're on the run again just tring to fit in the stuff you don't normally have the chance to do when everyones around.

For those lazy days, I like taking the kids to the park or driving an hour to see some of my friends.

When I'm bored I just don't know what to do with myself so I don't do anything when I'm bored. When I'm not supposed to be doing anything, chances are I'm coming up with ideas for movies, stories, music, or things to do on my island free of government jurisdiction in my future.

I come up with crazy ideas for businesses and tell people about them so they can tell me I'm crazy and that it'll never work and then they come back a few years later to tell me I'm crazy for never having done anything with the idea when somebody else was successful with the same idea or a very similar concept!

I also invent things and really get into working out the design, but I always lose interest and move on to the next thing without filing for a patent or doing anything with the idea. Two of the ideas for products that I've told several people about have been in Sharper Image Catalog in the last two years and for one, I have a Popular Science clipping/illustration for a piece of equipment that's now under development at Sandia Labs.

One of my younger brothers is a mechanical engineer with several patents to his credit, but they're all owned by the companies he worked for while he developed them. Maybe I could get into that kind of thing in a corporate setting, but I have no formal education in engineering or industrial design.

I build and make all kinds of crazy stuff in wood, plastic, metal and ceramics, do artwork in several media, photography, collect several different kinds of crap and I read a lot, but I don't seem to listen to enough music.

. . . other than that kind of stuff, I'm just bored most of the time!

erm.......

kids do keep you busy.

I work alot,

When I'm at work I work
IWhen I am with my wife &/or son I work
when I'm alone sometimes I daydream but mainly I get too scared to do anything.

I am bored often & want more from life & know that I have to work hard & be concentrated/focused in order to achieve.

I feel like I've been born again since having my son.

I was totally unprepared & I never knew what hard work was until his arrival.

now I work hard.

I might type somthing like this when I'm bored!

cheere this made me smile.

I play jazz guitar. It takes up whatever free time is not taken up by marching band (EVIL!) or homework.

Well, I just sit around, usually, and talk to friends. Notice that I mean verbal conversation, being at uni 12 hours a day means I see a lot of people for long periods of time.

I try to brush up on my C/Unix/Perl skillz when I have free time, but I usually end up spacing out while reading a tutorial. I just read when I'm bored.

I attempt to write applescripts to put in speakable items in mac os 9 :)

I also read books, and post on fourms.

I like to talk to my mac and make it do things. I am trying to control every aspect of it through voice commands with limited success.

anyway, I dont usually have too much free time.
