Apple provides disk images for System 6.0.8 at ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_6.0.x/

For the Plus, you'll want the 800k disk images. You'll need another Mac (beige G3 or earlier) to write the disk images; PCs aren't compatible with 800k floppies. See http://www.soltec.net/~cbsc/512k/14mb.html if you don't have any 800k disks.

BTW, I like your signature. Since you seem like the UNIX type, visit my webpage at the address below. You'll be glad you did. OpenStep is amazing!

If you want to know what it was, that'd depend on the build date and ROM code, etc. The list is on AppleSpec.

If you want a source for 1.1, that's another issue, but it's probably out there, what are you asking specifically?

Try looking on mac512 for the system you want. If it's not listed anymore (due to Apple's insistence) check the Internet Archive's Wayback machine (webdev.archive.org)... They have a cache of mac512 with the files. (I love the Wayback machine.)
