Ok I just started school and in one of my classes we had the option to take it on the internet and I decided to of cource he also said to us that if we made some fourms (because he did not know how) that we'd get a extra 25% on our term mark so since I know a fair bit of html I said I'd give it a shot so did about 3 others (this was before I knew that the fourms were in asp ) now he is relying on me to do this and I don't know what to do I really don't know what to do I need to get some fourm software ready soon and it is now not a question if I can or can't do this I have to. The fourm software I tried to use is the one these fourms are powered by you know Snits fourms.
Can anyone help me here?

Does he want you to write a set of forums software from scratch, or just set one up on a server somewhere? There's plenty of software, lots of it free, that you just put on a server and press start.

BTW, Snitz is asp based and will only run on Windows/Linux, and possibly Mac OS X if the Linux layer you run it in is ported.
I know that MacAddict's forums software can be hosted on a Mac, tho.

Yeah. They use Ultimate Bulliten Board. I still prefer Snitz though.

Yes I know it will be hosted on windowze but I followed the instructions to the best of my ability but it won't work.
I wonder how would you go about making that port...

CATSDORULE I've got another idea.
Use Snitz forums on a Brinkster account.
Brinkster is an AD-FREE FREE webhosting service that supports ASP.
It was even mentioned in the SNITZ setup guide how to set it up on
a Brinkster account.

You'll laugh at me for this, I'm sure. I'm not all that great at programming and being pure Mac in the house, I had no way of trying it here at home either. I unzipped the file here and was able to upload all but 3 of the files at first. The first one's problem was just minor. Being unzipped on a Mac, it cut off the last two letters of the file extention that windows needs to see due to the name length. The Second file was the big problem. The file: inc_func_member.asp , has a piece of code in it that Brinkster's server doesn't like to upload. So I took it out to upload it and than put it back in after it was place. As for the third one, pop_moderate.asp , I just left it out and tried it. It seems to be working fine. Call me crazy I guess.
