I'nm going to school in a few weeks and I would like to hook u[p to the school Network. The network uses 10Base-T with DHCP, so no prob , but I don't have an e-net card . What are some Ethernet cards you guys (and gals) like. I'm kinda leaning toward a 3com off of ebay with x-jack. I don't want to have to carry another dongle in my Newt case. Thanks.Pax ------------------ Where there's a Will, there's a way. |

google for the "ethernet newton" to get the supported list, just to make sure that the ebay you get is useable. -Eft

I've bid and won on this:http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/detail.jsp?tab=fe atures&sku=3CXE589EC&pathtype=purchase It works for the Newt. I've installed the drivers and made a config for it Now, if only I could get it faster... btw, is there a way to use my Newt as a sort of "bridge" to my home network for my 6200. Having just bought a NIC, I don't want to have to buy another. I know there is a way to use your Newt as a a modem but is there a way to use it as a Network bridge? How much did you pay for it? I got a 3Com 3CXE589DT with the X-Jack connector (Basically the same card as yours) for 6 bucks US. on eBay. Even with shipping to Canada it end up being less than $20 CDN. Good fun for everyone! Private NoCash Localtalk Engineer 2nd Class 68ks Liberated: Ummm... Does a Newton count?
