I have a Newton 2100 with NIE 2.0 with Localtalk, Modem, Setrial, MacIP, PPP and SLIP components installed. I'm using NetZero free access to log on (Don't wanna have to get Aloha). I think I set it up correctly using these instructions: http://newted.dyndns.org/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000006.html freei.net was swallowed by NetZero I think , so I just tried using the above settings. When I try connecting, it gives me a -16022 error. I checked and it says that this error happens when a card is not selected. So I chose a card, and it still doesn't work. Can someone tell me what's going on Thanks. Pax ------------------ Where there's a Will, there's a way. |

I remember that some ethernet drivers need to be installed in a certain order, does somebody know if that's the same for modems and/or ppp?BTW, that's awesome!! I wondering how to do the same thing a couple of weeks and posted on the newtontalk list and never heard anything. Thanks for the find. _______________________ Sgt. I tried connecting again, and it gave me the error again while it was loading the PPP driver. So I am going to reload NIE everything, to clear up other problems. Pax ------------------ Where there's a Will, there's a way. |
