What sort of topology does it have? Star, or Bus? Just wondering, because i've never seen any sort of "AAUI hub".-------------------------- "I keep my friends close, but I keep my enemies closer" - Unkown Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6

AAUI is nothing but a transciever medium. AUI is theoretically a bus network but can be transcieved to 10-BaseT and probably also 10-Base2.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

It can be tranceived into 10Base2, even into 10Base5 (ThickNet), though the reauired converter seems to be pretty hard to find.FYI, regarding the "AAUI Hub", both Apple and Asante made workgroup hubs which connected to the AAUI port of a Mac and provided 4 10BaseT (RJ-45) ports. It was designed to let you use a Worgroup server as the hub of a small office network.

that sounds interesting! is there any thruput benefit in using an "AAUI Hub" over a transceived connection to the uplink on a more pedestrian sprt of hub?jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |
