A twinkie is this awful American "snack food" made of puffed-up, dyed-yellow angel-food-cake that they fill with gooey, white lard-creme. They go so far as using them to brainwash children into watching television shows, I hear tell.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! Me & cine both replied twice in this forum but both our post counts remained the same, ie: I have twice only had 444 posts.Have I found a bug?, did I mess the forums up by posting to all forums? I didnt really wish to know what a twinkie was, who would? we have Wotsits, which although are not the same I hear that Americans have a different name for them. I cant reply today cos I should have been in bed ages ago. shaktiman Quadra 840av 128MB ram 2MB vram cd drive(caddy),1 caddy!:-)1.44 floppy drive, inject :-(1.2 gig drive 2 monitors 15" & 14" os 8.1 56k modem Stylewriter 1200 Zodiac speakers Umax 1220s scanner 3 year old son! |

One of my most traumatic experiences occured as the result of a "sterile" Twinkie. I had just purchased a package of twinkies from a vending maching. I opened the wraper, took a big bite, and what? NO CREME FILLING?How disappointing. Imagine being a 19 year old kid, and having this happen to YOU! The event left an emotional scar that wasn't healed until the vending company refunded my 50 cents. Hehe, that's funny. Anyways, I'm glad I looked here first before going to check out all the other forums; seeing all those pink folders on the 'all forums' page I was sure there had been an explosion of interest in the 68kmla, and I was going to have all sorts of interesting things to read! Alas, it is not to be... not yet anyways! |

A really good 3D action/adventure game. It's too big to mail to you, and it's still for sale. See http://shop.ecompanystore.com/bungie/BNG_productdetail.asp?TYPE=Games&PRODUCT=BNG20000500&CATALOG=BUNGIE&ID=1 to buy the Bungie Mac Action Sack and http://www.bungie.com/products/marathon/marathon.htm for the demo. Whats Marathon?!The first thing you should buy after reading this If you have a Mac you *have* to have it. All 3 Marathon games should run fine on your Mac, deffinetly play them in cronological order, Marathon, Marathon2 :durandal and finally Marathon Infinity. I remember getting freaked out the first time I saw a compilier, the atmosphere is amazing.

Sounds like me when I first played DOOM on my 386DX. Man I nearly cac(odemon)ed my self. I have a feeling Marathin was even better but I can't bring myself to play it - not after having played Deus Ex...... -- Mark Benson FlatPackMacs http://fpm.gotdns.com 2nd Lieutenant - 68kMLA, LC Quartermaster Flat Packing Macs for 68k MLA airlift excercises Macs Liberated = 14! |
