Has any1 ever found ballon help(the Apple os variety) helpfull?

Or would the general concensus agree that it is mostly just annoying & the os would be well rid of it?

We could replace it with this ballon help!

I pi**ed myself laffing when I first saw ballon help, I went over a window & lo & behold, ballon help informe me "this is a window"

Pure genius? I think not.

Balloon help has never, ever been helpful. Then again, Windows has some equally retarded systems in place (hover windows, clippy, etc.).

That's another thing I like about the NeXT: help actually helps you out! Apple's help in OS X isn't bad, but it's nothing compared to what Jobs & Co. did already.

The only time balloon has ever been useful to me is in classic mac os. Mainly under System 7 on machines with very little memory.

In the "About This Macintosh" menu if you have balloon help on, and move the pointer over the bars that show how much memory is alloted to a program, a balloon will come up telling you how much memory the program is using, not just how much is alloted to it.

This is useful for deciding how much memory to allot each program.

Other than that I've never found balloon help useful.
