This is militant thought & I am already shying away, but let's say we got web pages from all sorts of company's & then converted them to be 68kmac friendly.

Does this thread make sense?

Dear god, man! It's just a bunch of HTML and JavaScript code...do you have any kind of a link? I'd try building that code into something viewable, but I can't seem to here at work.

ditto! hadn't even thought about that one, but now i've got all kinds of questions about how your "accent" relates to "cockney" (or whatever it is they call it now) and any other dialects over there, but i'm too tired to make an attempt at coherence!

<silly run-on sentence mode>

as for this post in particular, i'd say the topic might not be all that interesting to most of the troops once they deciphered it because we all love our 68k's, most of us enjoy running the old classic apps and games on them, many of us use them out of necessity for a variety of reasons and a few of us delight in getting them to do things that Apple never intended anyone to be able to do and in many cases went far out of their way to make impossible, i'd say that very few of us would ever want to see technology go back to the world of the 680X0 even if we would prefer that the the world as a whole could go back to a simpler era, so not very many of us are likely to share the passion you have in your quest 680X0 world domination, but many of us enjoy reading your firebrand posts about it and having you around spices up the forums, but once i deciphered the topic and peeked inside, the first sentence confused the crap outta me, so i'd say the answer to the question in the second one would probably be "no" and since i don't know squat about HTML it's not surprising that i got no more than two lines into it before i gave up and i'd be very surprised if even cinemo read the entire thing so given all these other factors, i'd think the coincidental fact the you happen to be black probably had no bearing on the matter and i wonder how many of us had even figured that out at any rate, because it would be interesting to know if i'm particularly clueless in this instance and should have realized it or if it's just that i'm normally oblivious to such things?

</silly run-on sentence mode>

woo! that thing started to get a little unwieldly so i made a joke about it and went with the flow! somebody let me know if it's coherent, there's no need to respond if it's not!

This thread was a mistake. I thought I had copied a pic to my clipboard, but what resulted was a previous (68kmlaforumpage) got posted in by mistake!

I origionally attempted to hack 68kmla in order to post in the ppc forum!

I did not succeed, because I dont know how to use the apple os effectivly enough for it to work!

erm ok,

I am not black.

This is the hilarious "Ali G" joke.

It was a pi**take indeed as is evident as if you didn't read the post you wouldn't of known that the comment was there

This forum was a mistake followed by a silly joke.

For any1 who cares I am white, origionally from Derby(centre of the UK literally), now living in London.

WTF?

shak, the forums don't support images of any kind!

were you posting a link to a piccie? if you are posting a link (test this before doing it for real) use the "Preview" button next "Post New Reply" and you can test the link by clicking on it in the preview window. this will ensure that it opens up in a new page in your own browser before you even post the original message.

(Painfully) Obvious Tips and Tricks from a WWW/forums newbie:

i find reviewing my own posts in "preview" very helpful for proofreading.

always be sure to highlight and copy all the text in a post you are writing before leaving the browser window for any reason. (i've lost a LOT of partially completed posts!) :rolleyes:

if a post is over three lines long, it's really handy to copy it into simpletext or clarisworks to finish writing it. if you need to scroll in the posting window it's WAY past time to copy it into clarisworks.

the spell checker in clarisworks is MUCH better at proofreading than i am! YMMV, so give it a try!

if a post is in simpletext/clarisworks for any of the reasons above and you end up scrolling, it's time to save it as a temp file and go for a walk!

if you come back from a walk and still feel the urge to finish and post it, you'r . . .

whatever!

nopro!

have a great holiday with the family, shak!

if you want this one deleted when you get back, i have no problem with it, but the issues discussed seem worthwhile to me.

btw: smilies aren't piccies per se: to my way of understanding it, they're more like the forum code bleeping out noughty words in the .txt with visual flags. for a more accurate answer, you'd need to ask one of the webk1dd3s!
