I have a TI-86. If you have a PeeCee and some patience, you can program it in assembly. TI-BASIC is really slow. It's a Z80 at 5 MHz. The TI-89 and TI-92 have a 68k in them, and they can be programmed in C and assembly. As for games to play on them, try ZTetris, Lotus Turbo Challenge, and, if you have a TI-86, Mario v0.95. OK, jt, how did you know that I have one of those Casio color camera wrist-watches (with 1 MB of memory ). Now, you've done it! Little Mac has climbed inside a box in the closet and will not come out. I guess I'll have to promise to play some Fokker Triplane Simulator to get the little fellow out of his funk. Either that, or if I remove the PRAM battery, the little fellow will just forget this whole ugly little episode.G4From128k by Day: Mild-Mannered Engineer and Trapeze(tm) Artist by Night: Colonel of Truth, Justice, and the Macintosh Way Reserve Officer in 68kMLA Cantankerous Coot Contingent & User of the Hockey Puck Mouse of Radial Symmetry |

I could go for an -89...don't even get me started on Phoenix! Math? Yeah, right. The -83 Plus can run the Mirage OS,though, which runs Falldown, which is the most addicting thing EVER.{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 3} { My baby: Q660av } |

IIRC, the 89 and 92 aren't allowed on the SAT or ACT.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert OpenStep Page at http://openstep.topcities.com/ Macs Liberated: SE (2), IIsi, PB 145b, Quadra 700, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

Go, Casio! Greatest ease of use, and they used to be the fastest, too, although I'm not sure about how they stack up against a 68k Ti!~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

I used an HP48 during my high school years. Since it uses that backwards postfix input system, I did not have to worry about anyone wanting to "borrow" it because no one could figure out how to use it. Plus there were a lot of games for it, someone even made a version of Doom for the HP48. More recently I got an HP49G, which has the added bonus of being transluscent blue. I also have a Casio CFX-9800, which if memory serves me, was the first color graphing calculator Casio made.AnubisTTP, Tank Commander, Bolo Division 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:21 |

Yay, AnubisTTP! -- another reverse-polish aficionado! My first calculator was an HP-25 back in 1977. It was back in the bad old days before CMOS memory -- turning off the calculator meant losing everything (and with a little NiCad battery and power-sucking LEDs, you only had a few hours of battery life!). But it wasn't so bad cuz it could only store 49 keystrokes of program. I sure enjoyed many a happy hour learning programming and playing "moon landing simulator" on that little machine. Since then I went thru a whole range of HPs from the 41 to the 28 and now have a HP-48GX (also picked up an HP-35 and HP-45 for nostalgia sake). You are right about people borrowing your HP. When people borrowed mine, they always came back a few minutes later all confuzzled and wondering where the "=" key was! LOL! G4From128k

A HP is like trying to use KDE... wierd, and slow. On the subject of things with 68k procs in them, I found out that early model DECservers had 68000s or 68020s in them.~Coxy <- learning 68HC12 assembler! ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0
