I'm guessing that at 28 I'm one of the older ones here. On the other hand, I rarely act my age

Taggie, one of main mods over at the MAF, is also female. Although, she hasn't actually posted anything here but merely registered and appears to be Lurker mode.

As for myself, I'm 23 and (obviously) male.

I'll be 21 at the end of Dismember, Male, and live in Michigan.

I'm actually waiting for a Female-oriented tech magazine, that is (hopefully) platform neutral. Most of the tech mags, whether MacAddict or PC World or LinuxFormat or MacFormat or LinuxUser or PCGamer... they are all VERY Male oriented.

If only I had the money to start a magazine... I'dmake millions...

Hey I'm a girl, too...or I used to be one...now I'm a mum. When I got engaged to my now-husband Michael, my rival for his time as a (wait for it) Apple IIc - the very latest thing. Now that's telling you how old I am. How do you know so much about apples, coxy, I am so impressed

Hey, I'm female too -- guess that makes 4 of us...

And I'll be 31 in a couple weeks (yeah, birthday close to Christmas... bleah). No, I'm not old. So what if most of my CDs are by K-Tel?

omilord. female here too, and 31 in a couple months. Close enough to be twins.

OK not quite close at all - but I remember k-tel as well, and the day my grandmother bought one of their bottle-cutting-kits that would make bottles into ... half bottles. I'm sure all those half-bottles had their uses :)

suggestion:
everyone should take a time out and read the terms of use/whatever posted by the host of the forum. this is a great place to hang out, but the child protection (something or other) provisions as recalled gave me the impression that: if one were to even hint at ones age/sex whatever and it were to be determined to be an attempt to garner info re a minor over the web, one might be placing the hosting of this forum in jeopardy......

That said, I signed on with a user id that tells my tale well enough, let's be careful out there people, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun if self-moderation proves insufficient.

Alright, these forums really are on crack - I only clicked the post button once, but the thankyou for posting screen refreshed a dozen times or so before I saw what it was doing.
I dfon't think I dare post again. And I can't be stuffed deleting all these double posts.
Well on second thoughts deleting stuff is nice and snappy, so there I go.

21 male here. If one more AIM user IM's me asking a/s/l and looking to "cyber" I may have to put a fist through a monitor...

(It should be noted that there is an old VGA monitor with a burned out flyback transformer within arms reach of my desk. No need to destroy working equipment after all.)

Now I really feel old...even though I am new here 46 year old fart. I remember when all these old Mac's were new. I have been rescuing old cpu's for years of all different flavors. I use to lug aroung a Compac Transportable (all 48 pounds of it) that is why one arm is longer than the other...lol!
My current working Macs are:

Mac IIsi 16 meg, 160 HD
Mac SE 4 meg, 40 HD
Mac LC III 12 meg, 80 HD, Apple II card and 5 1/4 floppy
Quadra 605 upgraded with a full '40, 160 HD
Quadra 610 16 meg, 1 gig HD
Performa 637 16 meg, 350 HD, not fond of this one...crippled system with IDE
Also have a 6100 PowerMac, a stack of LCII's, Performas 410's, 405's, Imagewriter, Deskwriters and boxes of other stuff.
I maintain an Apple II collection also.
I am fond of the Mac SE which has the superdrive in it. It is running system 6 which is all machine code. It is very fast with Word 5.1. Just because something is old does not make it worthless. If that was the case they would have thrown my sorry carcuss out years ago:)
